So my first day was absolutely AMAZING! it is soooooo pretty here! i swear the air is so crisp and clear, i feel like my contacts are extra clean ;)

So luckily when i got here, Jess came right afterwards and she didn't have to be at work until around 2, so we walked down to the beach from her apartment so she could show me around a little. we got lunch at a super cute cafe, where i neeeeded a cappucino ;) (amazing foam as expected in a non-u.s. country) and then we both had mushroom soup with two huge slices of baguette...yummm! it was so nice to sit and talk too! After that we walked to the beach and sat for a bit and then Jess had to go.

I walked up and down Manly corso, which is where a bunch of shops are, and then i did a major walk all up and down manly beach (absolutely beautiful!) there were still people surfing and sitting along the beach enjoying such a sunny winter day, its still pretty cold here, but the sun felt sooo nice!

then i walked over to the other side to Manly wharf, this is where the ferry building is, where the ferry goes to darling harbor (jess rides it to work in the morning)... i walked over to the manly art museum and gallery and show a great exhibit on the aborigines, then i went to Oceans World Manly which was oh so fun! i saw a bunch of beautiful fish and sharks and nemo! hahah.... they had a cafe that was closed next to it, but i saw a sign about a limited edition magnum (for those that don't know, magnum bars are the best european ice cream bars) but anyways that had a limited edition honey comb one! yum! After that i walked back to the corso and went to Jess's fav ice cream shop... i got the yummiest scoop of mint choco chip ;) and then i walked along the beach with my ice cream and kept walking along this beautiful little walkway/bikepath to another little beach called shelly beach...stopping of course along the way to read/sit/take in the beautifulness of sydney.

manly is soo pretty, so crisp and clear and sunny, so adorable :)

basically i did a whole lot of walking and sitting in the sunrise along the way.

after that i walked into a few stores and the market to browse the yummy australian goodies.

now i am back at jess's and we've got some wine, pizza, and good tv
