last day/night in sydney with the group!!!!!!

so now i am home and i cannot believe i am writing my blog about my last night out in sydney with everyone, it seems so unreal. it just went by way way to fast. I seriously cannot believe what an amazing experience this has been, i just
cannot get over it.
I feel as though in sydney, i have learned so much about myself and the world. Trying not to be cliche or anything, bu
t I just feel like I was different there, things didn't matter. We were all just so excited to be there and embrace sydney and
all adventures as they came! In Sydney, nothing was stopping us. I have never become so comfortable around a group of people so fast, already showing them my pretzel and doing ugly face contests... its no wonder we all cried when we left! With such an different group too.... we are already planning reunions :).

My last day of work was anything short of just freakin fabulous!! Laura told me at the beginning of the day that they wanted to give me a little going away present, so she told me i could pick a fragrance! i was stoked!! I knew that red roses was always my favorite scent, but I had sooo many rose fragrances by now. Coming to Jo
Malone I had been introduced to one of my now favs Vintage Gardenia, but i also learned so
much about "fragrance combining" I spent literally the entire day trying to decide which fragrance to choose. Laura
obviously saw that i was having a hard time, so she said that instead i could pick two 30ml fragrances, instead of just one 100ml!! and then this made it even harder
haha!
The day went by soooo fast! Julius was handing off all of his birthday packages from his mother to me haha which
included the most amazing fruits--grapes, blood orange, persimmon, huge green apples, sooo tasty! and some yummy chocolates too :)....Then around 3:30pm, Holly and I sat down for a last catch up, which was fantastic! we talked for an entire hour about her background, about the business as a whole, and about me... it was so inspiring and really made me think about my future. Holly's background was just so interesting too--from teacher in the
UK, to entrepreneur, to internal PR coordinator, to just a few years as the Executive Brand
manager for Jo malone and La Mer... she had only been there for a few years! I decided that i really like the structure of Estee Lauder and definitely see myself working there, perhaps beginning in Julius' role as a Sales Executive--that way i
can do all the math things :) And then working my way up! Holly also said that she would definitely recommend me to work for Jo Malone in London (which i am hopefully planning next summer after i study abroad!!) Then i thought i could work for estee Lauder in new york, and i would be able to see every market!
We talked about how different the markets were between the UK, USA, and Australia... and sooo much more (i dont
want to bore you :) ).
Holly was just sooo complimenting, explaining that I had outshined Siena even (who got fired :/... apparently i had done a bunch of her work too! Julius though
t i was the fastest learner with Excel too... he was going to miss me soo much! The entire team wanted me to stay SO bad hahah.... i wish!!!!
After our catch up, we all toasted to Champagne! such fun! more compliments, and then gifts! i decided on Vintage
Gardenia and French Lime Blossom... and then was shocked when i received a La Mer bag! (La Mer is SO expensive!) On the way home from work, i realized that i had received 995 Australian dollars worth! OH MY GOSH! I had received two perfumes, the Creme de la mer (in gel form :) ) a cleanser and a hydrating infusion...wow my
skin is going to be fabulous!!
I left work so so giddy and excited for life hahah and i did NOT want to leave!!

Nightime:
After work, I went home and tried to pack a little bit (i was doing the whole "i dont wanna leave so i am not going to pack" thing, but i had to be out by 10am the next morning!) but watevs hahah.... So i packed a little, and then met up with Katie D, Alexa, Tracy, and Alex... we walked up to the Rocks and went to the First Pub in Sydney!! (it was founded in the 1800s i think crazay!)
we just stayed for one drink and the met up with Jackie, Libby, and Jordan for a nice, classy, fancy dinner at Saki :)!!! I had some of the best sushi and saki i have
everrr had! first we split edamame, and then i got the sushi avocado roll, and then we all at this raw tuna and avocado salad (absolutely dyinnggg over the freshness of the tuna). I also got a limoncello saki drink... wow!
Then we went next door to Argile, omg such a posh bar! i cannot even explain its chicness :)...
we stayed for such a while, dancing, drinking lychee caprioskas... my new favs :)...
meeting such fun people too! The bathrooms at the Argile are the coolest part: they are unisex and are in this humongous, long, room with stalls and then the coolest urinals that are behind big sculpture things (too hard to explain haha) and this really cool sink where the water comes down from the ceiling!.
After that we went over to three monkeys to just celebrate a last time there... and then of course ended with Kebabs at 3:30 am!! we all werent even hungry from such a good dinner, but we jsut haaaddd to get kebabs our last night :)!
i got one with falafel, garlic yogurt sauce, sweet chili sauce, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, so yum! We finally got to bed at like 4am hahaha sooo sad i dont wanna leaveee!!!

Thursdays are always fantastic

Thursday night was SO MUCH FUN! literally our fun could not be captured in pictures hahaha but i have never had so much fun with a group of people/felt so close! i think since our nights are slowly coming to an end, we feel more and more goofy around each other hahah... So after work, i treated myself to a heaping helping (:) ) of wedges with sweet chili and sour cream, and bought a bottle of red fruitwood (its like lumbruscio wine... very fruity and sweet) ... we then all met up in the penthouse where we partied with the hotel people too (mollie, danny, and kylie... oh how i will miss them!) We had so much fun dancing, taking pics, and posing with random objects bahahha and of course trying to make the ugliest faces possible... oh what fun! After that, we attempted to go to new town, but a group of us couldn't find April's friend who was visiting so instead we went back to Jackie and libby's to take more wacky pics haha... then libby, and edwin went to get kababs and a box of tim tams for me and we went back to my room to watch tv and eat :) I finished the entire tim tam box, each dipped with peanut butter... too good too good... oh how i will miss tim tams!!!! libby ended up sleeping over, and edwin almost did because we like all fell asleep hahaha

Wednesday: Farewell, Australia Hotel, and a little scruffy's

Wednesday night was our champagne farewell with the group. We all got t-shirts from Brad, toasted with champagne and wine, and watched a slideshow from our trip.... oh the memories! i cannot believe how fast this trip has really gone by, i have done soo soo much, but really don't want it to end!!! i love my job, the city, and my friends too much to leave :(!
Afterwards, we all went up to the Rocks and went to my fav restaurant, the Australian hotel for some drinks, pizza, and wedges, so nice sitting out there!
Then of course we met up with some of the others to get a little last minute scruffy's before we leave oz....

Taco Tuesday Attempt

So Tuesday we attempting to do another round of Taco Tuesday by walking an hour all the way to Glebe (the more student part of Sydney because its by the university). The place that we wanted to go to ended up being extremeleleelellyyy crowded and we were never going to be able to get seated. So instead we all go drinks and went to a byo pizza place. We all order hot breads and yummies and had the most fun. We did contests over who could make the ugliest face HAHAH it was sooooo funny!! i think edwin won :) bahahah oh how i love everyone. I really dont want this week to end, we have all become wayyy too close!
After that, we headed home and went up to see Brad, Kramer, and the Twins new penthouse suite! they got moved up to the 25 floor for the last week! (that is for being best friends with all the hotel people haha) they had the most gorgeousss view of darling harbor!
Then we went and watched movies at Jackie and libby's :)

Drinks at the Blu Bar, Shangri La Hotel

Monday night was a very posh night indeed :) So the Shangri La Hotel is the nicest hotel in Sydney. It is the fanciest, boasts the most gorgeous views of SydneyHarbor, and hosts the most chic restaurant (Altitude) and bar (Blu Bar) on their top floor (floor 36). Its a 'must do' of Sydney, but certainly a 'wallet biting' activity hahah. Check out the website... www.shangri-la.com
So as you are probably assuming now, we went to Blu Bar for drinks on Monday night! Katie D and I were the only ones down to go haha so we both dressed up super fancy! i wore black adorned with my best gold jewelry and new gold leaf earrings :). unfortunately it was poring rain outside! but that didn't stop us of course.
When we got there, I absolutely DIED over the drink menu, and not just by the prices hahaha but it was pages and pages of fabulousness! One drink was $10,000!!! i wish i could share the menu, but its 'that exclusive' that it is not online, bummer! Anyways, my first $20 cocktail (and yes i got two...eeee) was called "Tic taki " or something like that... it was passionfruit, rum, strawberry and some other fruit juices...but the presentation was the best! I've never drinken such a good drink so slowly hahah. We sat there with our outstanding cocktails overlooking the bay and city 36 floors high...wow i neeeeeeevverrr want to leave! oh how i wish i could just check in to the hotel afterwards hahah. My next drink was called (oh shoot now i forgot haha) but it was another super fruity drink, this time made with 42 below passion fruit vodka, and raspberry purree, and a rose petal flower adornment! definitely worth the twenty dollars! hahaha
Oh what a lovely, expensive, fancy night :)
i could get used to that!
