Sunday funday!

Sunday Morning, Katie D and I walked through beautiful Hyde Park to the Australia Museum, where we saw amazing exhibitions of animals, skeletons, rocks, etc! We drew some cool frogs and made some recycled figurines haha We ended up talking to each other half the time, not even realizing the preserved animals we were looking at haha I learned so much about Katie, like how she worked at walt disney world as allll these characters!! Pluto was one of the like 10 or so. and the best part is that she said she could get me in for FREE anytime! next trip, orlando!!! she was telling me about a food and wine festival there, and also "drinking around the world" at EPCOT. i sooo want to go now! Katie amazes me with her bartending stories too (like how she used to compete!) and how she was a yoga assistant. soo cool! haha
We spent awhile enjoying the museum, then walked through the city all the way up to the Rocks to the markets there. I finally bought these gold leaf earrings i wanted :) and she bought some goodies too.
After that, we went home, changed real quick and took the bus to Bondi. We had our $50 bar tab to spend at The Shack, and what better way to spend it then day drinking! hahah But then when we got there (it was only 3pm), we realized they don't open until 5pm! noo hahah... but thats okay because we went to a small cafe along the beach and ordered some wedges of course and then Katie K came and met up with us. We walked around until 5pm and then went to the Shack! I got through two pints of pear Magner's cider :) haha and we sat awhile drinking, Alexa and Tracy came too. We of course ordered two more orders of wedges bahaha...oh what fun!
We had planned to go to the Sky Tower (the tallest building in Sydney that has a revolving restaurant and bar on top) but everyone was kind of tired by the end, but Katie K and i still wanted to go!
So we went back home, made a small dinner and got all dressed up for nightly drinks at the sky tower bar! But on a sunday, they closed early that night :(! ughh soo annoying! but Katie K and i were all dressed up! So we went to the Marble Bar that is in the Hilton Hotel right in the city... its underground and has beautiful marble everywhere! it reminded me totally of the Palace bar in gossip girl hahah. I got the best drink, it was some type of passionfruit, raspberry, lime, lemon juice, vodka drink, so yum! Katie K ordered a dirty martini! but that was certainly left unfinished haha it was disgusting! What a fun night it was :)! and such a posh sunday tehehe
