Olympic Park then a walk around the city, plus a new day of favorites...

Saturday morning, I went to Olympic park with Tracy, which was really cool. It was about thirty minutes away on the train through the suburbs which was really pretty, but also a treck haha. Seeing the area where the Olympics were was really cool though. We walked around the stadiums, saw the torch, and the cauldron where the torch was lit! We also went inside the aquatice center which was even cooler! There was a swim meet going on and it made me want to swim sooo badly haha and inside they had a water park! with like a lazy river and a bunch of slides etc.
It was a really pretty morning too. I can't imagine how crowded it was during the Olympics!!
After that, we returned home, i made a quick lunch, and headed up to the Rocks on an avant quest for this Australia macademia nut olive oil and dukkah. So I road the train up to Circular Quay, stopped first at Royal Copenhagen to get a huge ice cream ;) (i got a scoop of banana and a scoop of cookies and cream on a cone, and put hot fudge on top, yum!) and then i walked up to the Rocks (they had the markets on the weekend going still, i love those markets to death). Then i went to my store to find my olive oil and of course they don't have it :(! the store keeper tries calling all these places to find it, and one store in the botanical gardens has one of the olive oils, but not the rainforest blend! (its infused with lemon myrtle)
Lemon Myrtle is one of the most beautiful scents ever! I bought a soap of it, so lemony and fresh! I also spent hours at this aromic oils stand. I have decided that I am a total scent oriented person, i just LOVE them! i could spend hours smelling everryyything! i love rose and i love jasmine, and lemon. I bought some rainforest oils and also emu oil! (its good for arthritis, and wrinkles and chapped lips, and pimples, basically everything!)
After walking around there, I walked over to the botanical gardens, its a hugeee park of all these gardens and the most beautiful plants etc. I walked through the rose gardens and off the path into the bushes haha. Of course the store didn't have the olive oil :( so i am still on the quest!
But it was nice to just clear my head and get a few hours of 'me' time.
Afterwards I walked over to David Jones (their highest end retailer) and went into their speciality market to try to find the olive oils, and just about died and went to heaven about 8 times haha.
First i stumbled upon the sweets area where i died over all the chocolates and candies. I bought some rose flavored Turkish delights (they are my new fav sweets!) ohhh so yummy! i must go to turkey now so i can just eat golzemes and turkish delights alll day long! haha. They also had the persian fairy floss (persian cotton candy) that i tasted at the Rocks Aroma Festival, which basically looks like powder-covered pieces of cotton haha but i wanted to buy it but it was like $20, rip off! haha
Then i walked into the food section, and bacially fainted! Why am i just stumbling upon this!?!? haha it was like a whole foods market on crack! all the most amazing salads, sushi, fish, breads, you name it! So lets just say that i spent awhile in there ;)
After that i walked throught the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) The most beautiful mall i have seen, and stumbled upon my new fav tea place EVER!! (okay yes this was a day of new favorites haha turkish delights and "Tea 2" ).
Tea 2 is the best tea place i have ever been too, literally. They have all my PERFECT tea flavors! from honey vanilla, to strawberries and cream, to amazing jasmine green tea blends, to fantastic chais, and breakfast teas! oh my gosh i was going crazyyy!! i wanted to buy everryyything! it was better than the london tea stores (and that is big to say). I only had 10 minutes though because i had to rush home, so i decided that i must come and physically smell every tea so i could specially pick my fav! ahh can't wait!
Then i rushed home to get ready for the night!
