Featherdale Wild Animal Park and Blue Mountains

Today was one of our "sponsored" trips, where we all go as a group and its paid for... we had to meet downstairs at 8:45 in the morning because we had a bus leaving at 9... our bus driver was hilarious! we became like best friends with him... first we took the bus to featherdale wild animal park which was about an hour away.

this park was awesome! they had all these endangered animals from the most beautiful birds, kaolas, kangaroos, bats, crocodiles, penguins!! you name it! but the coolest part was that you were in the middle of all the animals! like the kangaroos were just bouncing around next to you!

i became best friends with the cutest kangaroo in the world, im so serious, i didnt want to leave him!!!!!!! i wanted to bring him home! we totally bonded! first i fed him and then this like emu (huge osterich type bird) came and almost attacked me bahaha but the kangaroo was eating right out of my hand and then i was literally hugging it and taking pics with my hand, and it would hold onto me! it loved me so dearly :) ( and then later that day i tried kangaroo meat!!!! so sad to eat my best friend :( hahaha)

and then later i was petting this goat and a sheep came behind and started eating my hair! hahaha i couldnt believe how well trained all the animals were, and just sooo adorably cute (espeically the kangaroos and even this kaola almost escaped hahah)

After the wild animal park we got on the bus and drove to the blue mountains ( this was sooo picturesque i couldnt believe it) ... i tried my first sausage roll!! basically a big filo dough thing with sausage in it bahaha but it was pretty good, and i tried kangaroo meat! so sad hahaha) we took a ride down into the wilderness which was almost a 90 degree incline! so scary hahahah and then we walked all through the forest, which was beautiful, but very chilly! hahah then we took a gondola thing back up, which showed the prettiest views... then we drove over to see the "three sisters" these famous mountains so so gorgeous... then it was a 2 hour ride home (luckily kaegan brought tim tams :) ) we drove by the sydney olympic park too (saw it from far away)

i bought dark chocolate tim tams and am eating them now, so yum, but better get ready, tonight we are going to some bar in bondi! yay!
