we love cider!!
another fun wednesday night! i have decided that time is flying by way way to fast, so i must do something EVERY night! haha whether its just going on a walk, out to dinner, out to get gelatissimo, or out for a drink.... i must not stay inside!
so after i got back from work last night i had a yummy dinner of salmon pasta, sweet potatoes, zucchini, and some chicken (saved from work of course!) and then we had a speaker series for our program... we had a girl named natalie come talk to us: she was the youngest to climb the seven summits (as in the seven highest mountains on each continent) and she started this journey when she was just 16! she and her mom climbed all the mountains together and trained etc... she is also into medicine, as she works at the hosiptal now, but she climbed mt. everest all the way to the top at just 23 years old!! sooo crazay! she was showing us all the pics and explaining her training etc.... she spent three months living at the base camp of mt everest just to train their bodies to do the seven day climb to the top.... when you climb mt. everest, you make separate trips, going up to the first summit and then back down to base camp where you rest for a few days before you then travel up to the second summit and then you come back down again and then you rest and then you climb to third summit and then back down again and then rest before you finally climb all the way to the top! its crazy that you must come down each time because your body would just not make it... what crazy people!
after that, we all went back to our rooms real quick to finish getting ready (i opened a cider and katie had some wine) and then we had to go to scruffy's for drag queen karaoke because it was kelly's last time!! :(! katie and i got huge pints of cider of course... and watched the hilariousness of drag queen karaoke... they were other americans there tonight, and we even sang! we sang uptown girl :) after that katie and i stumbled back, i opened antoher cider hahahah and then had this amazing brownie/fudge from work, four tim tams, two crackers, and a crunchie chocolate bar hahahahah as katie made some pancakes and toasts etc.... oh what fun we have :)
