suited up!

Edwin, Katie Donahue, Tracy, Alexa, Bethany, Mallory, and I did the climb together... we did the "twilight climb" which means our climb started at 3:55pm so we go to see the daytime, sunset, and night time! (the best combo!) the climb was about three hours long because you had to get all set up (you wear sooo much gear hahah and everything is clipped together to prevent anything from falling off)
gosh it seems like my weekends keep on just getting better and better...
the sydney bridge climb was definitely a MAJOR highlight of my trip. i am sooo soo glad i did it! it was worth every penny! a lot of people didn't do it because it was too expensive and then i was kind of on the edge myself, but i am sooo soo glad i did it in the end, and it was absolutely amazing!!

i wasn't even scared during the climb surprisingly! i think i lost my fear of heights really! i don't know what is wrong with me hahaha.... the only scary part was the ladders/stairs you had to climb for a big, but walking on top of the bridge was just GORGEOUS! i was seriously speechless up there, you can see everyythinnggggg, you don't realize how big sydney really is, and how much more i still havent seen!! we were talking about how we still have SO much to do! and see! and soo little time!! gahh! hahaha but the view from the bridge was the best i have ever seen in my life (no doubt about that)... i was just soo happy and content! we made code names too hahah me edwin, katie d, and alexa: edwin=bowtie, katie d=vodka, alexa=kebab, me= cupcake ( i think our names were certainly fitting hahahah) oh we had sooo much fun!! and then OH MY GOSH.......
on top of the bridge, i saw the most amazing sight it i think i will truly EVER witness:
so on top of the bridge you get an opportunity to take pictures right on the top as you walk to the other side of the bridge (like across the roads below) and you go in groups or who ever you want in your pictres.. anyways, as we are standing looking at the group in front of us taking pics etc, we see this couple walk out to the center ready to take their picture and all of a sudden the guy gets down on one knee!!!!!!!!! omg he was proposing!! right there, on top of the sydney bridge, in the most beautiful night they have had all winter (no joke on that one, it wasn't even cold, no wind, and the clearest night it has been, gosh how lucky we are!!) and the sun was just setting, the sky was all different colors, and he was proposing!! omg we all started bawling haha, it was the prettiest, most romantic, most happy sight i have and will ever ever see!! he talked for awhile on his knee and of course she said yes, and we all cheered!! oh it was sooo cute!! gahh! and then afterthat moment we were all just in bliss :)!
after the bridge climb, we stayed in the "rocks" area and went to "the orient hotel/bar" and sat outside in their outdoor beer garden/seating and had some cider and dinner, i got wedges hahaha soo good
and then we went to the chocolate room for tim tam shakes
can you say amazing day!!?! (beach, kebabs, bridge climb, wedges, shakes, cider, my best friends :) sunshine, sunset, proposal!)
btw check out edwin's blog of this day!! its way better haha
So happy I got to experience this with you! Fun times, Cupcake!
